Telescopic Boom Lifts, the What & Why
Genie telescopic boom lifts are engineered to enhance work efficiency and offer the required horizontal outreach at a job site. In simple terms, it extends the prefect straight line using the telescoping boom sections.
This works well in job sites with limited access, telescopic booms deliver industry-leading outreach and capacity throughout a full-working envelope for incredible operational accessibility.
They are also commonly known as “stick” booms because of their straight appearance. Telescopic booms offer greater horizontal outreach than any other type of aerial platform which make it suitable for construction, industrial, entertainment, road building, bridgework, painting and inspection. Genie telescopic S™-boom lifts are engineered to enhance working efficiency and at the same time make work-at-height easy!
Why choose a telescopic boom?
They provide the combination of height and outreach. Genie telescopic S-booms, for example, are ideal for access to work from a distance — where the terrain or obstacles prevent close access. Even better, the S-60 DC is an eco-friendly work-at-height solution for both outdoor and indoor applications.
You have a rugged, unimproved worksite.
Telescopic booms with four-wheel drive and active oscillating axles are designed for maximum terrainability and traction. Some of Genie telescopic booms, such as S-45 HF, are engineered to “float” on soft or delicate surfaces.
You want to maximize your productivity.
These booms are designed to get up into the working position quickly. Genie boom lifts are designed with a variety of options and functions to meet the individual work-at-height requirements. For instance, the S-60 FE can work more than one week on a single tank of fuel.
The world’s largest boom lift is the 2100SJ with a working height of 216 feet when fully extended. On the other hand, Genie’s highest reaching model is the SX-180 which also has an impressive working height of 186 feet.
